Message-Id: Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2018 09:56:40 +1000 To: After Effects Mail List X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.3445.9.1) Hi all, I=E2=80=99m doing some work on a short film with very limited resources, = and so am trying to work out how to do some FX with effectively 0 = budget. There=E2=80=99s one shot where the director would like to add a car = driving past on a road. There=E2=80=99s a basic background plate but no = option to shoot the car for real, the car would have to be a 3D model of = the specific car used earlier in the shoot, but which is no longer = available. The specific car was extensively photographed so I=E2=80=99m wondering = if it would be feasible to get a simple 3D model made that would be good = enough for a 60 frame panning shot. There are lots of high-res photos = from all angles, I think the guy who took them intended to build a model = via photogrammetry. I=E2=80=99ve never done it. I=E2=80=99m not a 3D artist. Just = wondering if anyone who has tried building a 3D model from photos can = share some advice so I know if it=E2=80=99s even an option. I see it as = a possible learning exercise, even to potentially animate the car in the = lite C4D that comes with AE. Thanks in advance! -Chris=
