Short answer - not really. Even with a project with lots of GPU effects I find AE doesn't really hit the cards very hard - even a single card is rarely maxed out. It does however recognize and utilize multiple cards, so I'm not saying there's zero benefit, but I think unless you have a very specific comping task build I wouldn't really factor AE into any GPU purchases.

I know we will get a palpable benefit in our 3D rendering with Redshift, but will AE have any gains with additional GPU power?  I know they have been adding more and more GPU acceleration to AE with each release, but wasn't sure if one card was able handle it or does 2 cards help?
