Hey Byron, I’ll throw a couple pennies in…
My main workstation has 2 1070ti’s. I’m working in AE about 75% of the day every day, and honestly, I don’t see any real-world, noticeable benefits in AE with 2 GPUs. AE is still mostly CPU reliant (some plug-ins and effects are using the GPUs more lately, but…) and AE is still very single threaded, even when rendering. Working in Cinema4d with a renderer like Redshift and Octane with multi GPUs will fully work those additional cards

Subject: [AE] Multiple GPU in AFX
I'm budgeting for next year. Looking to add a second GPU in the artist machines. I know we will get a palpable benefit in our 3D rendering with Redshift, but will AE have any gains with additional GPU power? I know they have been adding more and more GPU acceleration to AE with each release, but wasn't sure if one card was able handle it or does 2 cards help?
