As all the replies in this thread suggest, it=E2=80=99s a complex issue. =
 But AE in 2014 did not use all of the hardware. It never has.  In 2014 =
it used a GPU far less than it does now.  AE 2014 was the last =
single-threaded version of the app - cc 2015 was a big leap forward =
under the hood - but because it was single threaded it also meant it =
only used 1 core of a machine, no matter how many processors were in it. =
 AE 2014 was single threaded but it never used all of the hardware =
available.
