As all the replies in this thread suggest, it’s a complex issue. But AE in 2014 did not use all of the hardware. It never has. In 2014 it used a GPU far less than it does now. AE 2014 was the last single-threaded version of the app - cc 2015 was a big leap forward under the hood - but because it was single threaded it also meant it only used 1 core of a machine, no matter how many processors were in it. AE 2014 was single threaded but it never used all of the hardware available. -Chris |
