So, all this time I haven’t encountered this until two days ago. I’ve been doing match frame edits of composite shots that match perfectly when I render in Ae and bring into Pr. Then, all of a sudden, my renders from Ae are darker than the original when I match frame them in Pr.
I’m rendering to ProRes HQ, but I also tried rendering to ProRes 4444, Animation 100%, and a TIFF Sequence, and the resulting files are still dark.
I just re-rendered a different shot that had no shift, and there’s still no shift. The two clips came from the same camera. One comes out dark, the other has no shift and matches back perfectly.
Also, as soon as I use the Replace with After Effects Composition in Pr, my footage gets darker right away, but only on some clips.
I have color management OFF in Ae. Footage is .mxf from a Sony Gamma: S-Log3 Cine.
I get the same result in CC 2018 and CC 2019.
