The screen capture in Quicktime is actually pretty good. It's not ScreenFlow but depending on what you're doing could be enough.

There's also OBS which is free and works great: https://obsproject.com/

Snapz no longer works as of High Sierra.

Still? Snapz hasn’t been the best screen recorder for quite some time. It may be the cheapest by there are some far more capable tools. The two biggest ones I’m familiar with are Screenium and Screenflow. Apparently the Mac has one built in (most be in QuickTime I wouldn’t know I’ve never used it.

I’m sure there are others now too as it’s been a few years
