At my IMAX’s film production Max Q, I have 25 = machines and 250 TB on servers. All 25 machines worked 100% local. Networks= only mirrored/synced/backed up depending on workflow.

 

Workstations working directly off network storage is= slower, more expensive, more prone to failure and a huge waste of time and= money.
