Thanks for the feedback,

I found an ASUS Flipbook Zen on Costco that really seems to hit all the checkmarks for a portable computer. Currently on sale for $999. The HDMI will allow me to hook up the 22" monitor I can use for desktop work if necessary. I'll try to post the link in a separate email but if memory serves, the list server doesn't take kindly to that ;).

Surface Pro & Book are really good if you want to be on the go.

For mograph, editing etc I find the screen size too limiting on its own. Of course in emergency its doable and can get used to working like this, but its not the best solution for long hours. Since they can to connect to two extra displays daisy chaining DP you can have best of both worlds.

The only thing missing from the Surface line are high speed I/O Thunderbolt ports. Other competitors do have them.

About the Dell XPS, there is a model that has a touch screen using Wacom tech and can use wacom pens,
I think its not the 4K version but the one with the 1080 display.
Also comes in cheaper and better specced.

Surfaceproartist site has many reviews on 2 in 1 devices.
