Two, Nope. I would expect that I was professional and proficient enough after nineteen years in VFX to hire the right qualified artist to deliver my request after properly communicating with them my needs. Hahaha. 😁
If the client wants more work than agreed upon, then that's what out of scope overages are for. Recruit the workers needed to accomplish the work requested.
In the end, do what you feel works for you and your company. If you truly feel like you are getting the short end of the stick, then you probably are. Stand your ground. If you really are ok with letting files go for money or not then that's your choice.
Just don't complain when you see your work modified down the line each and every year without any residuals.
