Agreed, not the ideal UI function it should be. A simple “VR tool requires GPU acceleration set to on” would be nice
😊

OMG – That is the second time I have been bitten by that! That is something that should be enabled by default – and if it is off, the warning message should be more explicit about where to enable it. JMTC
Thank you Stephen!

Mike,
Make sure your project is set to have GPU acceleration on. Mettle’s VR require this where as many GPU accelerated plugins do not.
I installed at new GeForce RTX 2080 Ti founder’s edition, it shows up properly in Preferences>Preview>GPU and works with Element, Optical Flares, and Mir. However, when I use any of the VR tools (formerly Mettle) there is a warning message
saying: “This effect requires GPU acceleration”. Has anyone else experienced some plug-ins not working with these new cards?
