One idea but I have not tested it:
. export an XML file from Resolve of your cut
. relink your edit in Premiere Pro using that XML file
. use dynamic link from Premiere Pro to After Effects to move your cut to AE

I'm in the middle of a nightmare project that I'm supposed to be doing VFX comps for BEFORE the edit is actually locked.

I transcoded the current R3D selects to DPX sequences (using DaVinci Resolve w/24 frames of handles), so I dont have to work with the original R3D files in AE. My usual workflow is to create "source clip comps", by using the "New Comp from Selection" feature on the selected, imported DPX sequences. I then use this precomp as the actual "footage" that I work with, rather than dragging the actual clip itself directly into my comps.

It appears that AE does not use embedded media timecode to reference discrete frames, so if I add more handles to the originally imported DPX sequence, the timing of the footage gets borked because it seems AE is just referencing frames by raw framecount, starting from the physical start of the media.

In my ideal world, I would like to be able to add handles to an image sequence, and then have AE automatically detect this and allow me to pull out more frames on each side of the clip, without disturbing the original timing of the clip, wherever its being used in my comps.

Any tips to workaround this issue?
