Raw files will have higher than 8bit color information. JP= G will be 8bit. So, I'm sure that's where some of the data is going= .

These settin= gs:

Resolution set t= o 1:1 or 16:9 (which is the only way to change resolutions; go figure)

Shooting the =E2=80=9CPr= o=E2=80=9D mode

RAW= turned on (jpg and dng).

=C2=A0

Produce= dng file sizes of 17.7MB. So I assume that is what you have.=

=C2=A0

Jpg=E2=80=99s for the same setting are 2.4MB.<= u>

=C2=A0=

So what filetype are you exportin= g?

Subject: [AE] Question on Picture R= ender Resolution

=C2=A0

Hello,

=C2=A0

This is curious to me, wonder if someone can elaborate.=C2=A0 When I= take pictures with my phone which takes some pretty stunning=C2=A0pics (Ga= laxy S10+), some pictures are very large size and file size like 8-10MB.=

=C2=A0

I will often take them and do some color ed= iting in AE but when I render, even at the same resolution, the file size i= s dramatically smaller.

= =C2=A0

So, my question i= s, am I losing quality or are the renders simply more efficient?<= /u>

=C2=A0

Thanks
Eric
