Hi Lloyd,
apparently for Projection 3D to work, one does need to create
masks for every layer as Taron informed me in a question I posted:
" it is impossible to extrude a bitmap image, you need to have an
image outline in the form of a mask. "
Is there perhaps another script that can create masks or layer
shapes from bitmap PSD layer bounds?
Thanks

Hi Lloyd,
thanks for the suggestion!
Projection 3D really seems interesting!
Do you know if it can extrude irregular shaped layers
(not only rectangles etc)?

Hello all,
is there a way to add depth to bitmap layers?
I have a large image of a painting, chopped up in
various layers, which
will move in 3d space slightly. I would like to add
some depth to them
rather than being thin paper cuts.
I know AE can do this with shape layers.
The point is avoiding to recreate all these layers
as vector shapes from
scratch.
Thank you
