There is no doubt that a 1080 or even 1060 will smoke the K2200.

Any of them will make your life much easier in PR or AE.

Hey,

My graphics card is getting a bit old and I was thinking about upgrading it soon.

I understand a CPU upgrade is generally much more important than GPU, but I was just thinking about getting a 2nd hand card like GTX 1080 Ti or GTX 1080. I am aware that these are gamer cards, but test results online indicate that they would still be much faster than my old Nvidia Quadro K2200.

Here is a comparison website:

I think I can find a 1080 GTX model from 200 and a GTX 1080Ti from 300-second hand.

Any suggestions on this or even other cards that would make a big difference, but in a similar price range.

So the question really comes down to: is it even worth upgrading?

I don't play games so I don't care about how suitable it is for gaming.

(btw my CPU is Core i7-6700K)
