I have a client in Chicago that has face-tracking data captured via Maxon’s CR-AV iOS app and needs to send it to me off an iPhoneX he has. However, CR-AV plugin does not work with R21 and won’t until December or later.

Maxon won’t give us a R20 license unless we purchase a year of R21. I already am paying monthly license on R21.

Are there any R20 users in Chicago that would let someone come in and transfer the data into a file. I’m guessing it’s a 5 minute process (probably installing the plugin is longest part)?

Best,

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.

Just drag the comp's tab to the edge of the timeline panel.  Check it out - here's a quick screencapture I made:

How do you split timeline?  That would be great to know.

Yeah!  You can just add comp("Comp Name") in the beginning like this:

comp("Comp 1").layer("Solid 1").transform.opacity

Or, if you split your timeline panels so you can see each comp's timeline at the same time, you can just pickwhip directly to the layer's opacity in the other comp and you don't even need to type it.

I'm under the gun and need to find a simple expression to link a layers opacity from one comp into a layer on another comp.  If anyone can help with the syntax I would be grateful, while I search the web.

Thanks,

John
