Yeah, I just tried configuring a lower midrange model that would be a reasonable upgrade over my 4 year old i7-7820x with is mildly air OC'd to 4.4 Ghz with a 128GB RAM and P6000 GPU and could not keep the price under $15k unless I went with a GPU that I suspect is slower than my P6000 for most work or dropped my SSD storage below what I have now.
I'm sorry, but that's just about the most ridiculous thing Apple has ever launched. I honestly can't think of anyone I know that would buy a $15k desktop that was not configured like the $52k max out option.
That being said, the monitor might not be if it actually performs as well as Apple claims and can be a honest to goodness replacement for $30k reference monitors. That feels more like the best of Apple, not cheap, but breaks the market open by offering something nobody can afford to something we could afford.

A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
