| Lol, Steve, literally this particular basic expression (literally typing 14 characters) is setup to be the same step as adding an fx plugin. One click and drag. Search “Frame Number” in the stock Animation Presets. If people want bells and whistles, then yes there are more steps. The point being is that solutions do exist, and no they really are not complicated, just confusing if you refuse to learn some simple things, but I get that some people just want an easy button. Which quite frankly is possible too if you use ExtendScript. It can be a button click. The alternative is to keep filing a feature request and hope Adobe gets enough requests for it to do something about it. Until then the vast pool of 3rd party developers fill that gap and put a lot of developing effort into making useful tools. We all know time is money, so those tools are not always going to be free. I’ve given free solutions (not only here but over the past 10 years) and Lloyd has provided fancier paid solutions (for nearly the same amount of time). Many options exist to fix this frame counter burnin problem currently. If people don’t like any of them, then I guess you are stuck....by choice.
