Afaik speed will be ~5x greater, reliability should be ab= out the same.=C2=A0

Hi all,

wishing a happy holiday season!

We are about to upgrade=C2=A0 an oldish pc, and a quick=C2=A0 look shows th= e
prices of nvme-M.2 drives have dropped dramatically. Perhaps not of the top of the line 970 Evo & Pro ones but the "slower" cheaper Q= LC ones
like Intel 660p & Crucial P1, which have reached the price of ordinary =
ssd drives that have more than 4x slower speeds (~ 100$ for 1TB drives).
Would they be a better choice for PR & AE=C2=A0 for fast I/O read and w= rite
operations=C2=A0 than a regular ssd and if not why? Do they degrade faster =
over time are meant only for read operations?
any caveat to make us prefer regular ssd's?

Thank you
