You’ll want a version of macOS that still uses QuickTime as a system driver.  So, I’d stop at macOS Sierra 10.12, but you can probably go as high as macOS High Sierra 10.13.  You’ll have to avoid macOS 10.15 Catalina and whatever comes after as AV Foundation Frameworks completely replaces QuickTime as a system driver.

Back when CS6 was new, I stayed at 10.9.5 for a very long time for stability.

My old 2013 MacBook got some coffee on it (stupid late night mistake) and how has several keys out and maybe a battery issue.
SO, I am looking into buying I reburb to run Sierra or High Sierra.
I use CS6 which meets all my needs and don't want to get on the subscription train.
Can anyone tell me if I am correct about the newer Macbooks? I believe because they changed a chip?
