Well, I could see right off the bat, a bulge distorts it w= ay too much.

What I was really hope is there was som= e way to draw a mask straight through the mustache (like a snake kinda) and= just animate the mask up and down like=C2=A0 wave and somehow have the mus= tache follow that.

Hahahaha, If that doesn't work you can give a displacement map precomp a try as well. Might have some better results :).

Well Robert,

The only reason for not using that is not THINKING of it. :)=C2=A0 I'll check that out too.

To better understand on the "not enough transform points", can you elaborate?=C2=A0 Since that used Me= sh Warp, are you suggest adding more rows and columns?=C2=A0 (2 and 8 now).

Hi Eric - I=E2=80=99m just catching = up here but my opinion is you don=E2=80=99t have enough transform points (pos x, y and rotation) to make this look realistic and timing is off - should be faster.

You don=E2=80=99t need fancy plugins= for this.

Compositing might also need some thought.

Keep at it - Rachel

For those still tracking this, here is a very crude snippet of what I'm doing.= =C2=A0 I just wanted to see if I could do the effect note in Doritos Commercial with Sam Elliott.

As you can see, the smoothness is horrid.=C2=A0 I've tried every suggestion= so far here and it is still very jumpy.

That's exactly what I began with.=C2=A0 :) but then it wasnt smooth so might have to try that again.

I wish there was a way to use a mask as a path except path but keep the object static and just morph with a curved mask.
